Directions from Detroit Metro
Exiting airport, take I-94 westbound to I-275 north. Drive approximately 20 miles north. You will merge to the left onto I-96 westbound. Drive 24 miles. Exit onto US 23 north to Flint, merge with I-75 north. Stay on I-75 north to the Grayling exit (#254). Follow M72 west (through Kalkaska) to US 31 and turn left (following Traverse City signs). Stay on US 31 going around East Bay until you come to Garfield (also M 37) and turn right. Follow M 37 north (also becomes Center Road) approximately 8 miles north of Traverse City. Look for Chateau Grand Traverse Winery sign on the left. Turn left into the Winery. The Inn is to the right at the very end of the main driveway. Approximate driving time: 4-5 hours.

Directions from Grand Rapids
Take US 131 north from Grand Rapids toward Cadillac. Continue through Cadillac on US 131 past Manton to the M-113 turnoff. Turn left (west) on M-113 toward Kingsley. At Kingsley turn right (north) at blinking light and continue north. Follow this road (turns into Garfield Road) and eventually will lead you directly onto M 37 North (also called Center Road) heading out to Old Mission Peninsula (approximately 8 miles north of Traverse City). Look for Chateau Grand Traverse Winery sign on the left. Turn left into the Winery. The Inn is to the right at the very end of the main driveway. Approximate driving time: 2-3 hours.

Navigation Hint
It is sometimes difficult to see the Winery's sign at night, so keep an eye out for a blue scenic overlook road sign, at the crest of the hill, about 8 miles up Center Road. The entrance to Chateau Grand Traverse is the very next road to the left. If you reach the town of Mapleton, you have traveled about 2 miles too far.
